As data nerds we love to check out the stats for a city before we head there. New Orleans is a party town so it’s no surprise that we see large spikes in occupancy for the weekends. Holiday weekends are a popular time to visit the city, but they also have some great local festivals attracting crowds, including Voodoo Fest and Jazz Fest. Average occupancy is 51%, and in the last year Mardi Gras was on par with another event to have the highest level of occupancy at 85%. Can you guess what was? St Patrick's Day, featuring parade favors that include cabbages, potatoes and carrots, and all the green beer you can drink.
